1. Acceptance of Terms
By using East Walkies ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you disagree, you must discontinue use immediately. Cancellation terms may still apply. These Terms create a legally binding agreement between you and East Walkies.
1.1 Business Structure
Business Structure Disclosure: East Walkies operates as a sole trader under ABN 55 320 062 705. It is not a registered company (ACN) at this stage. All services are offered under this business structure until further notice.
2. Service Description
- Pay As You Go (PAYG): Stand-alone transactions for each dog walk or bath.
- Multi-dog discounts are automatically applied to PAYG bookings.
3. Payments & Cancellations
Pay As You Go (PAYG):
- Base Rate: $40/dog per walk
- Multi-Dog Discounts (Same Time):
- 2 dogs: $72 total (10% off)
- 3 dogs: $102 total (15% off)
- 4 dogs: $128 total (20% off)
- Bath (PAYG): $35 flat rate per dog
- Baths are an optional add-on service. They are ideal for dogs that return muddy, have rolled in something unpleasant, or for owners who prefer not to bathe their dog themselves.
- Baths are not included in the standard walk rate and must be requested separately.
Cancellations:
- Free if cancelled more than 3 hours in advance
- Full charge may apply if cancelled within 3 hours of scheduled service
4. Insurance & Liability
IMPORTANT INSURANCE DISCLOSURE:
East Walkies currently does not carry professional pet care or public liability insurance. By engaging our services, you explicitly acknowledge and accept this risk. Insurance coverage is a future objective and will be disclosed upon activation.
Liability Waiver:
By using our services, you voluntarily waive any right to hold East Walkies liable for any injury, illness, escape, death, or property damage related to your pet, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct. You understand that dog walking and pet care inherently involve risks including but not limited to:
- Injuries from falls, slips, or collisions
- Interactions with other animals or wildlife
- Exposure to parasites, diseases, or environmental hazards
- Stress-related health issues
- Property damage caused by your pet
Limitation of Liability:
East Walkies exercises due care and diligence in delivering all services. If proven gross negligence occurs (e.g., leash dropped due to carelessness and dog escapes), you may cancel future bookings without obligation. However, East Walkies shall not be held liable for:
- Incidents outside our reasonable control
- Pre-existing health conditions or injuries aggravated during service
- Injuries sustained during normal walking activities
- Damage to property caused by your pet
- Any veterinary costs or treatments
Services are provided "as is" with no guarantee of specific outcomes. Total liability for any claim arising from our services is strictly limited to the amount paid for that specific service.
Liability does not extend to indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of income, emotional distress, or veterinary costs, except where prohibited by law.
5. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless East Walkies and its owner(s), employees, agents, and contractors from any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of:
- Your breach of these Terms
- Misuse or unauthorized use of the service
- Negligence or misconduct by you or your pet
6. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or on our website. Continued use of the Service after such updates constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
8. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable by a court of law, the remainder of the Terms shall remain in full force and effect.
9. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any referenced documents (e.g., Privacy Policy), constitute the entire agreement between you and East Walkies. No oral or written representations not contained herein shall be binding.

11. Plans & Pricing
All prices are in AUD. Prices are subject to change with notice to existing clients.
Accepted Payment Methods:
East Walkies accepts payment via cash, card (tap), PAYID, bank transfer, PayPal, and other commonly used methods as agreed upon at the time of booking.
PAYG Pricing:
- Dog Walk: $40/dog
- Multi-dog discounts: See section 3
- Bath: $35/dog
12. Pet Health & Safety
- Clients confirm their pets are healthy, vaccinated, free of parasites, and non-aggressive.
- East Walkies is not liable for health complications, injuries, or conditions arising from a dog's pre-existing state or owner negligence.
- In the case of sudden illness or injury during service, East Walkies will make reasonable efforts to contact you. If unreachable and emergency care is required, you authorise East Walkies to seek veterinary treatment at your expense.
13. Limitations of Responsibility
East Walkies is not responsible for, and disclaims liability for:
- Escape or injury due to faulty, damaged, or ill-fitting gear provided by the client
- Undisclosed behavioural or medical issues
- Aggressive behaviour resulting in injury to people or animals
- Injury or illness resulting from environmental exposure or natural causes (e.g., heatstroke, bees, dog attacks)
- Theft or damage involving property or possessions left within accessible premises
14. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
- Provide honest, accurate behavioural and medical information
- Use secure, well-fitted collars and leads for each dog
- Ensure safe, lawful access to the pickup location
- Ensure prompt payment of services
- Be available for contact in case of emergency
15. Refusal of Service
East Walkies reserves the right to refuse or cancel service if:
- A dog is deemed aggressive, unwell, or unsafe
- The environment poses a danger to walkers or pets
- Clients engage in abusive, dishonest, or negligent behaviour
- Repeated cancellations or payment issues occur
16. Client Acknowledgment
By booking with East Walkies, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that:
- You have been informed that East Walkies does not carry professional pet care or public liability insurance
- You understand the inherent risks associated with dog walking and pet care services
- You accept full financial responsibility for any veterinary treatment your pet may require
- You will maintain your own pet insurance if you wish to be covered for incidents during our care
- You have provided complete and accurate information about your pet's health, behavior, and needs
- You will promptly inform East Walkies of any changes to your pet's health, behavior, or medication
17. Emergency Protocols
In case of emergency during service:
- East Walkies will make reasonable efforts to contact you immediately
- If you cannot be reached, we will contact your designated emergency contact
- If immediate veterinary care is deemed necessary, you authorize East Walkies to transport your pet to the nearest available veterinary facility
- You agree to reimburse East Walkies for any emergency transportation or veterinary costs incurred
- You acknowledge that East Walkies will use best judgment but is not responsible for the quality of veterinary care received
